Welcome to Brighton Avenue Primary School!

Brighton Avenue Primary School has existed since 1896. Over its long history it has changed from an Elementary Board School to a separate Infant and Junior School to a combined Primary School and most recently occupied the present new buildings in September 1989.

We have approximately 254 school aged pupils including a 60 place Nursery. Presently there are six classes plus the Early Years Unit and Nurture Group.

The school has a beautiful Library, a Computer Suite and a large Community Room with a kitchen. Both the Key Stage One and Key Stage Two courtyard areas are being developed by Gardening Club.

Special Needs children are very well provided for in the school. We have two Learning Suppport Teachers, who work either in their own bases or supporting children in class. The school also has two very successful Nurture Groups for children needing extra guidance and support and also has one effective Learning Mentor who deals with any children who have emotional upsets whilst they are at school.

Our school colours and uniform are yellow and blue and we encourage all children to wear school uniform. It can be ordered through Mrs Mackay, who can be found in our Early Years Unit!
